Not many will believe him, but Professor Maduike Ezeibe of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State, has produced an Antivirt, an Anti-Viral Drug that can cure HIV/AIDS within 2-3 months.

Prof. Ezeibe insists that his latest therapy is real and very effective for treating the dreaded HIV/AIDS. He notes that his recent discovery is a major breakthrough in the search for a cure to the global pandemic.

He states that the discovery came after 19 years of hard work and relentless research, noting that his research was eventually published in the British Journal of Medicine & Medical Research.

The Professor of Veterinary Medicine, who obtained his first degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1986 and got his Masters in Ruminant Medicine as well as Canine Medicine doctorate degree all from UNN, says he moved to MOUAU on leave of absence.

Prof. Ezeibe notes that his research into the therapy known as 'Antivirt' (Anti-Viral Therapy), dates back to 1994 when he took the challenge to be part of the global solution to the HIV/AIDS scourge ravaging humanity.

He says his work has been published by The Health, an American-based medical journal, and that he decided to publish his research work on the therapy so as to prove anyone who would doubt that a black man could develop an HIV/AIDS cure, wrong.

According to him, the therapy takes an average of two to three months to cure an HIV/AIDS patient and two essential minerals – aluminum silicate (kaolin) and magnesium silicate, used in the production of the therapy, have large deposits in Umuahia and parts of Abia State.

This, he says, will make the therapy cheaper and more affordable than the old anti-retroviral therapy.
